Southeastern Swim Club Finishes 3rd  At Age Group State Meet

 Southeastern Swim Club’s 14 and under swimmers raced to a third place finish overall and set nine new SSC Team Records at the Indiana Age Group State Championships July 29-31, 2011.  Robyn Clevenger, Kylie Sutherlin, Natalie Mudd and Charlotte Ahls swam to the State Championship in the 13-14 Girls 400 Freestyle Relay and smashed the previous team record for SSC.

 They swam 4:04.17 (previously set in 2005 at 4:10.22 by Danielle Jansen, Erin Kelley, Paige Copeland and Maegan O’Connor).  Robyn Clevenger, Allie Barnes, Natalie Mudd and Charlotte Ahls swam to a new team record in the 200 Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:51.28 (previously set at 1:53.51 in 2005 by Erin Kelley, Danielle Jansen, Maegan O’Connor and Paige Copeland).

 In addition to participating on two record setting relay teams, Robyn Clevenger shattered three individual Team Records over the weekend.  She set a new record of 1:05.72 in the 13-14 100 Butterfly (previously set in 2005 at 1:07.99 by Danielle Jansen).  She also swam 59.54 in the 100 Freestyle (previously set in 2006 at 59.77 by Carly Mercer).  In the Girls 200 Freestyle, she lowered the record to 2:12.07 (previously set in 2006 at 2:13.17 by Aubrey Hertzler).

Joe Young also swam blazing fast to set three new SSC records.  He swam 4:23.57 in the 13-14 Boys 400 Freestyle (previously set in 2011 at 4:28.83.73 by Joe).  Joe also set a new record of 9:03.16 in the 800 Freestyle (previously set in 2010 at 9:16.13 by Thomas Cross).  Joe also lowered his own record in the 1500 Freestyle (previously set in 2011 at 17:42.96).   Blake Ratliff set a new record of 2:28.03 in the 10 & Under 200 Freestyle Butterfly (previously set in 2011 at 2:30.81 by Blake ).
